New in HEY: Calendar improvements

Hey there!

Since we shipped the HEY Calendar last month, we've been hard at work fixing bugs and listening to your feedback. We've also added ways to give you more control over dates and times throughout HEY.

Here are a few of highlights:

1. Quickly access your settings

Before, you'd have to jump over to HEY Email to change your time zone or adjust other settings. Now, while you're in HEY Calendar, click the avatar menu in the upper right to reveal a few handy settings. Click "Accounts & Settings" to see all the settings for your HEY account.

2. Set the first day of the week

One of the new settings you'll notice is the ability to choose the first day of the week. Before, HEY Calendar always started Week view on Monday. Prefer Sunday? Or maybe Wednesday? You do you.

3. Use 12 or 24-hour time

By popular request, we've also added the ability to use 24-hour time instead of the 12-hour default. You'll find this setting on the new Date & Time settings page, just above the toggle for setting your time zone. This preference will affect HEY Email as well, but you'll notice it most in the Calendar.

🧭 Smarter navigation remembers whether you were using Week or Day view when you leave the Calendar and hop over to Email. Now, when you return to the Calendar, you'll be right where you left off.

🔀 Pressing 0 to toggle between Email and Calendar simplifies how you jump between modes without using your mouse or trackpad. Want to jump to a specific Email view while you're looking at your schedule? Keyboard shortcuts like "2" for The Feed and "5" for Set Aside still work from any page in HEY Calendar.

⚙️ Reorganized calendar settings make it easier to adjust each calendar's color, name, notification preferences, and who you share your calendar with. These settings are particularly improved on our iOS and Android mobile apps (be sure to download those if you haven't already).

⌨️ Accessibility improvements like clearer tab navigation through events on the Week view, improved arrow key navigation through settings screens, and better VoiceOver support when editing events and time tracking make HEY Calendar more accessible.
