New in HEY: Workflows and Contact Notes

We just shipped two new features that will help you get organized and make progress with people and projects in your HEY email.


1. HEY Workflows

HEY Workflows is a simple, visual way to track an email’s progress through the stages of a multi-step process. As you move an email from column-to-column, the full thread — every reply, note, attachment, etc. — moves along with it. It’s great for hiring, sales, purchasing, fulfillment, and managing projects like insurance claims or repairs and remodels—any situations in which you’re dealing with many emails and multiple steps.

You can drag emails between stages to indicate their position in the workflow. Add as many stages as you need.

Add any email thread to a workflow by clicking More > Add thread to Workflow in the reply bar at the bottom.

Open the menu from the workflow pill at the top of the thread to move it on to the next stage.


2. Contact Notes

Now you can add a simple, searchable note to any contact in your HEY account. Contact Notes are a great way to document and remember details about the person without having to go digging through your emails with them—things like where you met them, their phone number, notes about their family (if that's useful when you talk), when to follow-up, and more.

Notes show up on the contact’s page and are fully searchable.
