New in Basecamp: Scheduled messages and viewing docs in a list

We recently rolled out two new features we think you’ll love.

Have you ever finished writing a message in Basecamp, then realized it’s not the right time to post it? Maybe the team is in a different time zone and you don’t want them to miss it or worse, be interrupted during the evening. Or perhaps you’ve prepped the project kickoff, but don’t want it to go live until Monday morning.

Now, you can schedule messages and docs for later. When you’re done writing, click the clock icon, then pick the day and time you want to publish it. The message will go live at the chosen time and the subscribers will be notified. Until then, it’s saved as a draft that you can edit or reschedule.

Scheduling messages and docs makes it easier to work when you want to work, but still share the work at the right time for your coworkers and clients.

Viewing docs in a list

Next up, we’ve added a beautiful list view for your docs & files. This is particularly helpful when you have a lot of files in a folder or they have long titles.

Like normal, you can apply colors and drag and drop to reorder items. And if you love viewing things in a list, but your coworker prefers the more visual grid layout, that’s okay — the choice is yours.

We hope you and your team find scheduling messages and the new list view useful. Thanks again for using Basecamp!
