New in Basecamp: Move Tools Between Projects

Moving individual items — like a to-do list, document, or card — has always been easy. But if you wanted to reorganize some things and move an entire tool from one project to another, it wasn't possible. Not anymore!

You can now move an entire tool between projects.

Everything moves with the tool — comments, attachments, and due dates. But if you want the same people to have access to the tool in its new location, make sure they have access to the new project.

Project tools can be moved by the person who created the project, Basecamp account owners, or admins.

Need to break larger projects into multiple, smaller ones? Or want to build out a tool privately before moving it to a shared project? Now it's easy to do.

We hope you enjoy this new addition. Thanks for being a Basecamp customer!
